This is Moods Studio

Moods Studio builds software at the intersection of AI, blockchain, and Web3. We are a dev agency and product studio based in Amsterdam, shipping everything from DeFi infrastructure and tokenization platforms to AI-driven applications and enterprise tools. Our clients range from institutional banks and DAOs to early-stage startups with ambitious technical roadmaps. For our team, we create an environment where ownership is real and impact is immediate. We are a small, fast-moving group that values craftsmanship over process and results over titles. Together, we build products that solve hard problems across industries where technology is reshaping the rules.

Why you should join the Moods Engineering team

We're looking for a Junior Mobile App Developer to join Moods Studio and help us build mobile experiences across our internal products and client work. You'll be working on real apps from day one — shipping features, learning fast, and growing into a senior role as the team scales. You'll work closely with our design and backend teams to translate ideas into polished, performant mobile applications used by real users.

Mobile App Developer (Junior)

In this role, you'll build and ship mobile features across a mix of internal products and client work. You'll collaborate closely with designers and backend engineers, focus on clean UX and performance, and steadily take on more ownership as you grow.

What you'll do

React Native development: Build and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.

Design collaboration: Collaborate with designers to implement clean, intuitive interfaces.

API integration: Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, handle authentication flows, and manage app state.

Native modules: Work with native modules when needed (iOS / Android).

Code quality: Write clean, maintainable, well-structured code and participate in code reviews.

Shipping: Help ship apps to the App Store and Google Play.

Debugging & performance: Debug, test, and continuously improve app performance.

Who you are

You have a solid foundation in JavaScript / TypeScript.

You have hands-on experience with React Native (personal projects, internships, or freelance work all count).

You are familiar with React and modern frontend patterns (hooks, state management, component design).

You understand mobile UX principles and platform conventions on iOS and Android.

You are comfortable with Git and collaborative development workflows.

You have experience consuming REST APIs (GraphQL is a bonus).

You are curious about native development (Swift / Kotlin) and eager to learn (not required).

You communicate clearly in English.

Nice to have

Experience publishing apps to the App Store or Google Play.

Familiarity with Firebase, Supabase, or similar BaaS tools.

Exposure to CI/CD for mobile (Fastlane, EAS, GitHub Actions).

Basic understanding of native iOS or Android development.

Open-source contributions or a portfolio of personal projects.

Familiarity with Expo, EAS Build, or similar tooling is a plus.

Interest in Web3, AI, or fintech is a strong bonus.

Our commitment to diversity and inclusion

Our best work comes from diverse perspectives. The technical and creative challenges we face are unique, and we need as many different voices as possible to help us solve them. No matter who you are or where you come from, we welcome you to be your true self at Moods Studio. Studies show that women and members of underrepresented communities apply for jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. If that sounds like you, we encourage you to reconsider and apply. We look forward to your application.

What's next?

Send us your CV, a short note on why this role catches your eye, and links to anything you've built — apps, GitHub, side projects, anything. We care more about how you think and what you've shipped than where you studied. We aim to get back to you regarding your application within 5 business days. Our interview process is straightforward: an intro call, a short technical assessment or portfolio review (depending on the role), and a final conversation with the team. We keep things lean and respectful of your time. Apply at https://moods.build/vacancies
